IDEA 3G Huawei usb Modem (E-1550) UNLOCKING tutorial [100% Working]

Huawei internet modem is a most demanded gadget of the year(2010). in this year many cellphone companies like idea cellular,reliance communication, vodafone acer, bsnl mobile has introduced their 3g huawei modems but they all of them excluding idea cellular gives modem with inbuilt sim so we can not use other sim in it. but we are able to use different sim in idea netsetter after unlocking it.
i had aslo bought idea netsetter 3g modem named  huwai E-1550 High speed WCDMA/EDGE/GPRS and had also successfully unlocked it and using videocon sim in it take a look in following screen shot.
Have a Look:-





Tools Needed :-

1. Idea Net Setter
   [ie., Huawei usb modem(E-1550)]

2. Huawei Modem Unlocker  :     Download from here
   [ie., Unlock code and Flash Code Generator]


3.Flashing Firmware :  Download from here

STEPS YOU HAVE TO FOLLOW :-

  • Insert You idea netsetter with default sim (which u got with netsetter)
  • Run Huawei Modem Unlocker and enter your IMEI number and click on CALCULATE

 

  • Then put your Flash code when it asks during installing firmware
  • After completion of installation disconnect the netsetter and change the idea sim (insert any other sim ex: Airtel/Docomo/Bsnl etc.)
  • Now connect again the netsetter to pc.
  • After all the detetction and automatic installations of drivers open the IDEA NETSETTER SOFTWARE
  • It will ask an UNLOCK CODE and enter the Unlock code you already noted from Huawei Modem Unlocker.
 
  • Thats it Now you can use any sim in your E-1550  !!!

NOTES-

1) The firmware we provided in this post can be used for both Idea Net Setter EG162G and E-1550.
 
2) If you wrongly enter code with all 10 attempts than  modem got locked First you uninstall all drivers and softwares of the huawei modem. after that connect your modem to Master USB Port of your PC and wait for all the automatic detection and installation of drivers. after the driver installation flash your modem with the flashing firmware we provided by following the steps correctly. Please note your Flash code and Unlock code is correct.
(for flash code and unlock code Type your IMEI in Huawei Modem Unlocker S/W and press 'calculate'.please do not press on 'connect' button.)
 
3)you can use any sim including idea
 
4)if you facing error 619 ,for solving this error you need to upgrade your firmware..you can download the firmware from this link...

    Hi,
    I have a Unlocked Huawei E1762 on which every sim used to work. But now what IDEA has done is that people having IDEA netsetter(of which IMEI number is registered with IDEA) can only use IDEA sim. So, what can I do to use idea sim in that.
    Please help :)

    Nice information really useful for those who want to unlock their Huawei modem from network lock. However i got my Huawei E1550 modem unlocked from network lock at Unlock-Zone.com here they helped me to unlock my modem using unlock code .
