As per Union minister of state, HRD, Dr.D Purandeswari, the upgraded version of Aakash Tablet will be released in the month of April-May. The earlier version of Aakash Tablet was released and had some bad reviews regarding its touch screen, battery life,processor etc. Even Handset Manufacturers association criticised the tablet.The new version of Aakash Tablet will solve all these issues. Aakash-2 tablets are improvised tablets with a faster processor and a capacitive touch screen. The Tablet will be made available to college and university students at the same price as Aakash-1 tablets. After estimating its success at higher education level, The tablets will be available for school students too.
